Privacy Policy

TLDR: EDHGlobe is a free, open-source community project that shows public cEDH tournament results and regional metagame data on a 3D globe. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and nothing for you to submit. We only use Google Analytics to track the amount of traffic in the page.
We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
Information We Collect
EDHGlobe has no accounts, forms or comments, and we never ask you for personal information. The information involved falls into three groups:
- Usage data. When you visit, our analytics service (see Cookies and Tracking) records things like the pages you view, the filters you use, your approximate location (country or city level, never your exact position), your device and browser type, your screen size and language, and the site that referred you. Google Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses.
- Technical data handled by providers. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. To display the page, your browser also loads files from Google Fonts (the typeface), unpkg and jsDelivr (JavaScript libraries and map borders) and Scryfall (card art). As with any website, these providers receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests those files, and may keep standard server logs. We don't receive or control that data.
- Public tournament data. The leaderboards show results published on TopDeck.gg (player names or handles, commanders played and match records), together with card art from Scryfall. We get this public information from TopDeck's API, we don't collect it from you and we don't add to it. If you appear in a leaderboard and want your entry removed from EDHGlobe, contact us (see below). The original data on TopDeck.gg is controlled by TopDeck, so you would need to ask them separately to change it there.
Cookies and Tracking
EDHGlobe uses Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site, for example which filters are popular or how often leaderboards are opened. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga) and similar technologies to recognize a browser across visits, and it collects the usage data described above. The results are aggregated, we can't identify individual visitors from them, and we don't use them for advertising. Apart from these analytics cookies, EDHGlobe itself doesn't set cookies or store data in your browser.
Google processes this data under its own policies; you can read how in How Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop your visits from being measured. The site works the same either way.
Cloudflare issues
TopDeck.gg API is currently routed through CloudFlare's network infrastructure, which means that we directly rely on CloudFlare servers working for us to update data correctly. Data is updated daily at 05:00 AM UTC (12:00 AM EST), and we do have cached data of past tournaments, however, if you see data not being updated correctly, please reach out to us.
Third-Party Links
EDHGlobe links to other websites, including TopDeck.gg (decklists and brackets), Scryfall, GitHub (the source code), Moxfield, Discord and Ko-fi. We don't control these sites and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your data, so please read their privacy policies when you visit them. If you support the project through Ko-fi, the payment is handled entirely by Ko-fi, and we never see your payment details.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when a feature or an analytics tool changes. The latest version is always on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top. The history of changes is also public in the project's source code repository. We encourage you to check back now and then.
Contact Us
If you have questions about this policy, or want to ask about your data (for example, to have an entry removed from the leaderboards), you can reach us on Discord or open an issue/feature request directly on GitHub.
